Mariya

Founder
My name is Mariya. I’m the founder and psychologist of YeSense Community Interest Company, based in London. Originally from Ukraine, I bring a unique blend of expertise as a psychologist, artist, designer, and traveller, dedicated to promoting emotional well-being through innovative therapeutic practices.

I hold a Master’s degree in Psychology at the International University “Ukraine.” My professional qualifications include courses in art therapy from Dragomanov University and the International Centre “Osvita,” an NLP Practitioner certification from the SoftLines Training Centre (Ukraine), and NCFE CACHE Level 2 in Counselling Skills (UK). I am also a proud member of the British Association of Art Therapists.

I am the inventor of patented fluorescent art therapy, a groundbreaking method with no equivalents worldwide. I have developed transformative tools such as the Metaphoric Associative Cards (MAC) series “Doors.”

My professional portfolio spans over 15 years of successfully conducting art and music therapy sessions across more than five countries. Highlights of my UK career include:

Leading a series of art sessions for well-being at Kensington Palace.

Facilitating art healing sessions for over 60 refugees with the support of Camden Council.

Conducting well-being art workshops at Portobello Market, Marley College and for children at Cavendish School, in my center.

Hosting music and art-based emotional discovery sessions at The Tabernacle.

Organising an intensive art healing workshop in Tolentino, (Italy) for members of the Carabinieri Association, which received notable press coverage.

As an artist, my works have been exhibited in London at The Other Art Fair by Saatchi, Parallax Art Fair, and other exhibitions. My art has been published in the magazine Culture, and I have shared my expertise in an interview with the BBC.

Beyond my professional accomplishments, I have travelled to more than 30 countries, immersing myself in diverse cultures, and I am an active member of the tourist hiking club “Universitet.” Additionally, I perform with the Ukrainian Choir at the Royal Opera House in London.

My passion lies at the intersection of art and psychology. I am deeply inspired by the symbolic world’s delicate intricacy, which holds an extraordinary power to shape and heal our inner lives. Through my work, I strive to help others explore and nurture their emotional resilience while fostering creativity and self-discovery.

In challenging times, difficult decisions often need to be made. Choosing to work with a psychologist or psychotherapist is one such decision—it’s a choice about improving the quality of one’s future life.

She is a psychologist with 20 years of experience and an Associate Member of the World Association for Positive and Transcultural Psychotherapy (WAPTP). She provides individual psychological counselling and guidance, helping clients navigate difficulties, life challenges, crises, and conflicts, as well as supporting those who wish to make meaningful changes in their lives. She works with children, adolescents, and adults.

Her approach may not always feel comfortable or easy, but it is always reliable, professional, and deeply enriching. She is known for her careful, respectful, and supportive attitude, creating a space where clients feel empowered to grow.

She believes that every person’s experience is unique and that every decision made is the best possible one for the circumstances in which it occurs. Her work is grounded in an ethical and attentive approach that honours these principles.

Her methods include tools and techniques from Positive Psychotherapy, Logotherapy, Art Therapy, and Symbol Drama. She has extensive experience as a psychologist within Ukraine’s educational system and has also built a strong foundation in private practice.

She works with people who are ready to improve the quality of their lives—those seeking self-development, resources, and new ways of achieving meaningful change. At times, the focus may simply be on enduring life’s difficulties and preserving oneself through tough moments, a process in which her support can be invaluable.

Whether it’s addressing pain, loss, exhaustion, disappointment, or confusion, or exploring self-worth, boundaries, success, and personal growth, she helps clients work through these experiences with care and professionalism.

Her strength lies in her ability to be both a constant presence and a force for transformation. She believes in the butterfly effect and the ripples that small actions can create, as well as in the vast opportunities the universe holds for each individual. She trusts in the power of words, actions, and the responsibility they carry.

As Nostradamus wrote, life is a series of choices. She invites you to choose to face life’s challenges and embrace change with her guidance and support.
