Art Overcome Trauma
“Celebration and Inspiration”
On 11 January 2025, Yesense CIC hosted the “Celebration and Inspiration” event at @Studio 108 in London, creating an evening filled with art, music, and heartfelt connections. The event brought together musicians, poets, and creatives from different backgrounds, each contributing their unique talents to an atmosphere of warmth and inspiration.
This special gathering also marked the celebration of the graduation of the Art Overcome Trauma project group. Participants who had journeyed through the programme came together to reflect on their progress, share their experiences, and embrace the healing power of creative expression. The event was a testament to the strength and resilience of those who used art as a means of overcoming trauma, highlighting the importance of community, self-expression, and emotional healing.
As the event unfolded, Jasper (@Jasper_the_mandolin_minstrel) captivated the audience with his expressive mandolin playing and vocals. The energy lifted with the electrifying presence of Vin Morfer(@viniciusmorfer), whose guitar and vocals carried a heartfelt that resonated with everyone in the room.
The dynamic band Cats and Bats brought a burst of vibrant sound, merging guitar, trumpet, tambourine, and vocals into an uplifting and rhythmic performance that had the audience swaying along. Meanwhile, Katrin Winchester(@breathtaking_night) took to the stage with her acoustic guitar, sharing songs filled with emotion and poetic lyricism that touched the hearts of listeners.
Beyond the musical performances, the evening was enriched by the powerful poetry readings of Olha Shvets and Svyatozar Shvets whose words wove a narrative of resilience, beauty, and human connection.
The gifts were also given to children from “Food for All” charity (foodforalluk.com) @foodforallhq
